Dog Bites - Dog Attacks

Each year, thousands of people in Ohio are bitten or viciously attacked by dogs. With only a few exceptions, Ohio is a strict is liability state when it comes to dog bites.  This means if you or a family member is bitten by a dog anywhere in the state of Ohio, the dog's owner, harborer, or keeper will be held liable for any injuries and damages caused by the dog.  Under Oho law, it is not necessary to prove that owner, harborer, or keeper was negligent.

A dog owner, harborer, or keeper in Ohio has a duty to prevent attacks by the dog on innocent victims.
